Hear CB/HAM Radio Through Vehicle Speakers Using Aftermarket Stereo with 3.5mm Input Switcher

AI-AUX-3.5mm is an automatic priority switcher that switches an aftermarket car stereo’s 3.5mm auxiliary input from a portable music player such as an MP3 or ipod to GPS or 2-Way Radio voice. Great as an Audio Interrupter for motorcycles, too.

The AI-AUX-3.5mm switcher has a single 3.5mm stereo output plug that connects to the auxiliary 3.5mm input socket of an aftermarket car stereo or to a factory car stereo having 3.5mm auxiliary input sometime found on the stereo, dash or in center counsel of the vehicle, one 3.5mm stereo input plug that connects to an MP3 or ipod headphone output, and one 3.5mm mono input plug that connects to a GPS, Two-Way-Radio or other radio receiving device having 3.5mm mono output socket.

When connected to the car stereo and the auxiliary input is turned on, audio from the MP3 or ipod is heard through the stereo speaker system.
When audio becomes active on the GPS, Radar Detector or 2-Way radio audio is automatically switched.
Three seconds after the last voice message has been received it automatically returns back to MP3 input.
The AI-AUX-3.5mm switcher is the size of a deck of cards with 12volt power and ground.
Built to last, a water proof potting compound is used on this product to encapsulate the circuitry and cable assembly that protects against temperature change, vibration, dust and accidental immersion in sea water.
